The F. Jiuzhaigou variants are thought to have originated from Fargesia Nitida, a popular species in the US for many years.  This ‘Genf’ cultivar differs from Nitida showing cherry red coloration in the spring through fall here in the PNW.

Asian Wonder Bamboo

Sometimes called Asian Wonder, this awesome bamboo emerges with dark orange sheaths around the culms which eventually fall of to reveal a lavender-olivey-bluish canes.

Robusta Bamboo

Sun: shade to mostly sun 
 

Robusta is a popular clumper for good reason.  It combines many quality attributes into one plant: hardy; straighter than most; fast growing; handles full sun (although still prefers protection from hottest afternoon rays); cool looking checkerboard culm sheaths.
